‘Kiss Me Good’ and kiss me good luck, urges Melbourne fashion queen, Samantha Sultana.
Designer to the stars, Samantha Sultana, who has been invited to make her debut at Paris Fashion Week, hopes as many Melbournians as possible will come and kiss her good luck before she heads of to that other city of love.
To anyone who says, you can catch things by too much kissing, Samantha says, you can also cure things by kissing. Samantha, whose designs have endeared her to Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, has been a long-time collector of celebrity kisses and is now putting them to good use – to help raise funds for cancer research. Samantha has recently launched a movement to kiss cancer goodbye. The charity campaign, called ‘Kiss Me Good’, in partnership with the naaaboys from not an advertising agency, gives a whole new meaning to the term, ‘lip service’.
Kelly Osbourne, Gwen Stefani, Courtney Love, Holly Valance, Priscilla Presley, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, DJ Space Cowboy, Lee Rocker of The Stray Cats, Taylor Swift, Carole King and Jet’s Nic Cester have all worn Samantha Sultana designs and P!NK commissioned her designs for her Fun House Tour Australian tour DVD.
Samantha hopes Melbourne will help ‘kiss off’ her new charity movement and kiss her good luck for her Paris Fashion Week debut on Sunday, August 29 at the ‘Kiss Me Good’ launch with Simon Cleary and Ms. Wainwright along with Tim Woods and Dirty Shoes, Austin Floyd, 12 Inch Clocks, Marc Deez, Fiona Claire and Bish Bosh Bash and a quality fundraiser auction. And please don’t be shy if you’d like to help out by donating your goods or services for the Kiss Me Good fundraiser auction. Dress up for your chance to win a best-dressed door prize, from 4pm to midnight at the Workers Club, 51 Brunswick St., Fitzroy 3065.
